What is Enriched Air (Nitrox)?

Basically, the tanks used for recreational divers are filled by compressor with normal air as we used to breathe on land. Enriched Air tank which is filled with higher percentage oxygen, that is means lower percentage nitrogen could been breathed in by divers and dissolved into body, make divers stay longer at certain depth, compare to using normal air tank.

Any benefit to use Enriched Air(Nitrox)?

As we learned when Open Water diver course, every diver should control your diving time within “no stop time (no decompression limit)” to reduce risks to have Decompression sickness(DCS). Especially repetitive diving in deep depth during a day, our body absorbs more nitrogen, makes your next dive time shorter and shorter. But, diving with enriched air extend our diving time to stay longer, to explore interesting dive site.

Some dive sites with certain beautiful marine life shows up, we don’t like our dive computer warning you need to ascend shallow, and you miss the chance to appreciate it. For example, you might need Enriched Air certification to dive in Malapasgua to see thresher shark, because you might need stay at bottom longer to wait for those beautiful creatures.

Enriched Air diver course will learn more knowledge about decompression procedure, how to use analyzer to check you enriched air tank, set you dive computer, either use dive table to know your depth and diving time.

Prerequisite Certification	PADI/SDI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification(PADI, SSI, SDI, CMAS, NAUI), or enrollment in the PADI Open Water Diver course and PADI Enriched Air Diver course concurrently
Minimum Age	15 +
Course content	1.      PADI/SDI Enriched Air Diver Manual, knowledge review, exam, predive simulation exercise. 2.      Analyze tanks, set dive computer, plan dive time and depth, real dive with Enriched Air tanks
Hours	Two days one night
Location	Xiao Liuqiu(小琉球)
Course Fee	NT 8,000 Include: Enriched air material, cert application, instructor teaching, backpacker bed one night, check diving*1, Enriched Air diving*2, all equipment, and computer use. Not Include: Three meals, transportation, motorbike renting in Liuqiu
